The ongoing strikes against Iran continue. Trump says the resignation of top intelligence officials is "a good thing."

The director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, announced his resignation on the 17th, and in a letter to President Trump he questioned the legitimacy of the United States’ military strikes against Iran, arguing that the U.S. military action against Iran was launched under pressure from Israel. Trump responded the same day, saying Kent is “weak on security,” and that his resignation “is a good thing.” Kent was the first senior government official to resign in protest of the United States’ military actions against Iran. Many media outlets believe this highlights the presence of unease and hesitation within the Republican camp regarding the military action. (Xinhua)
