The director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, announced his resignation on the 17th, and in a letter to President Trump he questioned the legitimacy of the United States’ military strikes against Iran, arguing that the U.S. military action against Iran was launched under pressure from Israel.
