Have you ever wondered how much money is actually in the world? Me too, and the numbers are absolutely staggering.

Look, when we talk about the amount of money in circulation, most people only think of physical bills and coins. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Printed cash accounts for only around $9 trillion, which sounds huge until you see the full picture.

What really moves the world is money in bank accounts and deposits. We’re talking about approximately $100 trillion in regular deposits, plus another $150 trillion in large funds and financial assets. So, the total amount of money globally, in real terms—not in speculative valuations—is around $150 trillion. That’s tangible money, not derivatives or speculative bubbles.

Now, the interesting part is the distribution. The United States dominates with nearly $62 trillion, almost 40% of the world’s money. China follows with about $16 trillion, and Japan with $6.5 trillion. When you see these figures, you understand who really controls the global financial game.

And here’s what many don’t see: all that accumulated wealth, those trillions of dollars, show that there is more than enough capital in the world. So when someone says there’s no money for Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies to grow, they simply don’t understand the scale. The system has resources more than abundant. The real question is where that capital will flow. That’s why it’s worth paying attention to what the big players are doing, because their moves set the direction of the market.
