Just stumbled upon something interesting about UK Prime Ministers and their wealth over time. The contrast is pretty wild when you look at how their net worth changed before and after they held office. Some barely moved the needle financially, while others saw dramatic increases. Take Gordon Brown for example - his net worth went from around 2 million to 5 million, which is notable but nowhere near some of the bigger jumps. Then you've got cases like Tony Blair jumping from 1 million to 70 million, or Margaret Thatcher going from 10 million to 60 million. Even more extreme is David Cameron, who went from 50 million to 70 million. On the flip side, some like Clement Attlee barely saw any change at all. What's really striking is Rishi Sunak sitting at 900 million plus - basically unchanged. Makes you wonder what drives these wealth trajectories after someone leaves 10 Downing Street. The Gordon Brown net worth story is actually pretty tame compared to some of the others. Anyway, fascinating data if you're into UK politics and how fortunes shift over time.
