A-share memory stocks continue to rally. Earlier, Samsung Electronics said that in Q2, the contract price for DRAM will rise again by 30% month over month.

Consumer electronics are active during the trading session, with foldable screens leading the pack. Earlier, the media reported that Foxconn has already started trial production of Apple’s foldable-screen iPhone phones.

On April 7, the Chinese A-share market opened with choppy trading and gains. At the start of trading, all three major stock indexes moved higher collectively. The ChiNext Index was up more than 1% at one point. Oil refining and chemical industries surged, with chemical raw materials, chemical fibers, and others all rising sharply. Memory chips and lithium batteries were active during the session, while pharmaceutical stocks moved lower as a group. In the bond market, Treasury futures saw volatile divergence, with the 30-year benchmark futures contract rising. In commodities, domestic commodity futures diverged: the China containerized freight index, fuel oil, and crude oil were among the leaders in gains. Polysilicon fell. Core market performance:

A-shares: As of the time of this release, the Shanghai Composite Index is up 0.47%, the Shenzhen Component Index is up 0.65%, and the ChiNext Index is up 0.61%.

Hong Kong stocks: The market is closed today.

Bond market: Treasury futures saw volatile divergence. As of the time of this release, the 30-year benchmark futures contract is up 0.26%, the 10-year benchmark futures contract is flat, the 5-year benchmark futures contract is down 0.03%, and the 2-year benchmark futures contract is down 0.01%.

Commodities: Domestic commodity futures rose across the board. As of the time of this release, the China containerized freight index and fuel oil are up nearly 3%, with asphalt, rubber, lithium carbonate, and others up more than 1%. Copper in Shanghai, crude oil, iron ore, caustic soda, aluminum in Shanghai, coke, silver in Shanghai, and nickel in Shanghai are moving higher. Rebar, hot rolled coil, industrial silicon, platinum, pulp, manganese silicon, gold in Shanghai, soymeal, coking coal, and eggs are falling. Alumina, tin in Shanghai, glass, and palladium are down more than 1%. Polysilicon is down more than 3%, and rapeseed is down more than 4%.

The chemical sector keeps climbing. Mega refining and organic silicon are leading the gains. GCL Silicon Industry and Sanfangxiang hit their daily trading limits. Earlier, multiple stocks such as Dongyue Silicones, Xinan Shares, Yufeng Shares, and Hengyi Petrochemical also hit their daily trading limits. Guangkang Biochem, Shenma Shares, Silicon Treasure Technology, and Luxi Chemical are among the top gainers.

Early in the day, the memory chip concept rebounded with volatility. Tongyou Technology is up more than 10%. Prowess Storage, Damingli, Weice Technology, Purun Shares, and others also moved higher.

On the news front, after Samsung Electronics raised DRAM contract prices by 100% in Q1 of this year, DRAM contract prices in Q2 will rise again by 30% month over month. Samsung Electronics has confirmed that by late March it completed price negotiations with major customers and signed supply contracts. The 30% DRAM contract price increase covers HBM required for AI chips, as well as general-purpose DRAM needed for PCs and smart phones.

The lithium battery sector rose with volatility. Nodel Shares and Weilan Lithium Core hit their daily trading limits. Bolivaiwei is up more than 10%. Penghui Energy, Jianyuan Technology, Defu Technology, and Shidai Wanheng are up more than 5%.

On the news front, as of April 6, 2026, the global fiber-optic price increase wave driven by AI data center construction and geopolitical demand has been further confirmed. The latest data shows that in the Chinese market, the price of G652.D fiber has risen by more than 400% from last year’s low. Institutions expect that the global supply-demand gap in 2026–2027 will widen to 15%.

Cross-border payments concepts rose sharply with volatility. Cuīwēi Shares hit a second consecutive daily trading limit. Sifang Jingchuang, Chutianlong, Lakala, Yiyin Shares, and Zhongyou Capital also moved higher.

On the news front, data from the website of China UnionPay? Cross-border payments & clearing limited liability company shows that the RMB cross-border payment system’s average daily transaction value reached RMB 920.5 billion, the highest level in the past 12 months. Moreover, on April 2, the single-day transaction value further increased to RMB 1.22 trillion.

Earlier in the day, organic silicon concepts broadly moved higher. Dongyue Silicones hit a 20cm daily trading limit up. Silicon Treasure Technology, Xinan Shares, Chenguang New Materials, and GCL Silicon Industry all followed higher.

Consumer electronics concepts opened actively. Foldable screen trends led the gains. FURONG Technology hit a daily trading limit up in a single-price order. Yian Technology is up more than 9%.
