According to a report from The Information:

Meta's internal AI usage leaderboard is called Claudeonomics. Over the past 30 days, the top 250 users have consumed a total of 60 trillion tokens of Claude Opus. The top user consumed 281 billion tokens in 30 days, costing several million dollars.
Some Meta employees run AI agents continuously for hours on research tasks just to climb the leaderboard.
The trend of maximizing token consumption is now popular in Silicon Valley, and token usage has become an important metric for measuring engineer productivity. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated at a meeting last month that if an engineer earning $500k annually consumes less than $250k worth of tokens per year, he would be "deeply alert."
This year, Zuckerberg sent a bold internal memo to the engineering team, demanding a rewrite of Meta's codebase so that AI agents can directly read and modify code.
