My trading model
I am a short-term trader. Every day before the market opens, I pick three stocks as the priority buy targets, but it’s not set in stone. With thousands of listed stocks, it’s impossible for them all to stay unchanged, locked in the pre-opening preselected area—of just a few stocks—and give up other opportunities. Behind those few preselected stocks, I often also watch dozens of sectors or a few sectors at the same time. Plans can’t keep up with changes; conditions are stronger than people. What matters is the intraday situation.

I dare to enter with a full position at high levels of individual stocks, and I run near full-position operations almost every day. The purpose of short-term trading is to maximize the utilization efficiency of capital to pursue high returns, and to avoid getting involved in the adjustment of individual stocks; otherwise, it only wastes time and goes against short-term principles.

Retail investors lose money because after making a little profit, they run away to lock it in as they go. When they lose a little money, they must break even before they leave, and they’re unwilling to cut their losses. Little do they know: the more they lose, the more they lose. In the end, they don’t even want to leave, leading to long-term entrapment. When a top trader buys in but it doesn’t meet expectations, they cut losses immediately and never linger. When they make money, however, they become very greedy, clinging on tightly and refusing to let go—like a hyena. Actually, if you think more about the reasons most people lose money and do the opposite, then making money in this market won’t be so difficult anymore. Prosperity lies in technique, not in hard work. Profit lies in the situation, not in sheer effort.
