Hello everyone, let’s continue to follow the latest developments in the Middle East war. After the U.S. successfully rescued the pilot, Trump’s confidence is through the roof—he issued further threats!

On the evening of April 5 Beijing time, Trump said in a strongly worded social media post that if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened, he will destroy Iran’s energy facilities and bridges.

“Tuesday will be the ‘power plant day’ and the ‘bridge day’—resolve it in Iran once and for all, unprecedented!!!” Trump wrote.

In another post on Saturday, Trump had set Iran a 48-hour deadline, demanding it reopen the Strait of Hormuz; otherwise, “hell will break loose.” The 10-day negotiation deadline he previously set for Iran’s leadership is expected to expire on Monday.

In addition, Trump said he will address the media on Monday afternoon local time regarding an operation in which a U.S. servicemember was successfully rescued from Iran. He announced this in a social media post.

“I will hold a press conference with the military at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the Oval Office,” Trump wrote.

He also disclosed some new details about the crew member, saying he was “seriously injured,” “extremely brave,” and that he was successfully rescued from “deep in the mountains of Iran.”

Reports say that before the rescue operation began, U.S. intelligence personnel intentionally spread information within Iran that both crew members had already been rescued, in order to mislead members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Trump described the operation as “a manifestation of the astonishing courage and professional capability shown by all participating personnel”!

As for Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said today that it launched strikes on fuel and petrochemical facilities in Persian Gulf countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE.

Iran described the military operation as a response to an attack on a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, in its southwest (Israel has claimed responsibility) and a strike on an important bridge outside Tehran.

Citing the Revolutionary Guard’s account, Iran’s state radio and television (IRIB) said that Iran’s “first phase” of its response was carried out this morning.

Iran also claimed that it carried out attacks on gas and petrochemical facilities associated with the U.S. in the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait, and warned that if strikes on civilian infrastructure occur again, it will escalate attacks on U.S. interests. The Revolutionary Guard also said it has listed an oil refinery in Haifa in northern Israel as a target for strikes.

Today, authorities in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, said that after air-defense interception over a petrochemical plant, falling debris caused three fires. The local media office said the incident did not cause casualties, but the facility was damaged.
