《China Civil Aviation News》 and China Civil Aviation Network reporter Qian Bo reports: The 2026 summer–autumn air season officially kicks off on March 29. China Eastern Air Logistics coordinates efforts to gain momentum, optimizing capacity resource allocation and end-to-end operational control, and fully ensuring cargo transportation is efficient and accessible, safe and steady, and orderly and controllable.

For this seasonal transition, China Eastern Air Logistics closely follows the business development approach of “opening new routes, increasing frequencies on trunk routes, and deepening efforts in hub operations.” It comprehensively promotes improvements in route network quality and efficiency. Centered on actively implementing China Eastern Air Group’s “three flights” strategy of “flying farther, flying internationally, and flying into emerging markets,” it continues to open up international destinations and international routes, building an air logistics corridor that covers a wider area, connects more smoothly, operates more efficiently, and provides stronger support. At the same time, China Eastern Air Logistics’ domestic branches adhere to “serving both passengers and cargo, linking passenger and cargo, integrating passenger and cargo,” and, relying on the route network layout of Eastern Air Co., Ltd.’s regional subsidiaries for the new air season, it continues to enhance cargo transportation support capabilities, providing more solid capacity backing and transportation support for global cross-border cargo transport and the deepening expansion of international business.

Given the increase in complex weather such as strong winds, thunderstorms, and high temperatures during the summer–autumn air season, the probability that flight schedules, aircraft types, and cargo volumes will change rises. China Eastern Air Logistics responds proactively in terms of safety risk prevention and control, and conducts in-depth, front-line work to carry out comprehensive risk identification and assessment. China Eastern Air Logistics, especially all departments under its subsidiary Sinocargo, works to further strengthen the safety front line. The operations control and meteorology judgment team closely coordinates with the flight dispatch sub-branch to move the risk response gate forward: it conducts two global route and key hub weather assessments per day. The Flight Department focuses on the core of safe operations, and around key tasks such as mobilization and organization, seasonal-transition training, risk control, self-inspection checks, and duty staffing and readiness, it breaks down measures one by one and pushes forward their implementation in a solid manner. Relevant business units release special safety risk prompts to identify safety hazards and prevent and defuse risks.

In terms of operational support and management, the company’s operations control department strengthens systems thinking around key links including aviation fuel support, ground agency, overflight applications, and risk management, and coordinates the implementation of all flight operation tasks to ensure route continuity. Cargo terminals strictly implement seasonal inspection, maintenance, and upkeep for vehicles, equipment, and ground facilities, and actively coordinate with security inspection departments. They define measures at each node covering people, aircraft, materials, methods, and the surrounding environment, ensuring that transportation support runs smoothly and in an orderly fashion.

Going forward, China Eastern Air Logistics will adhere to the bottom line of safe operations, continue to optimize the service and support system, and, through refined operational control and professional coordination for support, solidly advance all production and operational work across the air season. It will spare no effort to provide customers with safe, efficient, stable, and high-quality comprehensive air logistics services, and contribute solid strength to ensuring the stable and smooth flow of the global aviation logistics supply chain and supporting high-quality development of the industry.
