Abstract generation in progress

On March 31, the Changying-8 large cargo-and-delivery unmanned aerial vehicle successfully made its maiden flight at Shangjie Airport in Zhengzhou, becoming the largest cargo drone to have flown for the first time globally to date. The Changying-8 drone taxied smoothly along the runway and accelerated, lifting off and climbing within just 280 meters, and successfully completed key mission verification across all systems, including intelligent flight control, avionics, electromechanical systems, propulsion fuel, and flight quality. After about 30 minutes of flight, the drone precisely and smoothly landed, successfully completing the maiden flight mission. The entire flight was led by an intelligent system, with manual monitoring; the aircraft attitude remained stable throughout the flight, and all systems were operating well. This marks an important breakthrough for China in the field of 7-ton-class intelligent unmanned transport platforms. (CCTV News)
