ETH short-term price rises by 0.59%: Derivatives market net inflow and on-chain activity resonate to drive the movement
2026-04-06 14:15 to 14:30 (UTC), ETH’s return rate reached +0.59% within 15 minutes, with a price range of 2142.15 to 2165.93 USDT and a range (amplitude) of 1.11%. In the short term, market volatility has intensified, trading activity has increased significantly, and the move has drawn industry attention.
The main driving force behind this anomaly is a large net inflow of funds into the derivatives market. According to fund-flow statistics, net buying during this period was about $104 million. The spot market rose in tandem, with buyer strength taking the lead. In addition, on-chain trading volume and the number of active addresses have continued to set new highs. ETH network fees have stayed around $0.15, at a historical low, indicating that network scaling upgrades have lowered transaction costs and increased user participation, providing price support.
Meanwhile, the positioning structure remains stable, and whale accumulation behavior has continued to build momentum from late March to early April. There has been no sign of large-scale sell-offs. Rising fund concentration has strengthened ETH’s mid-to-short-term bottom support. In terms of the resonance effect, network scaling, on-chain high activity, linkage between the derivatives market and the spot market, and an improvement in macro-level risk appetite have jointly boosted this round of price gains. Externally, conditions are relatively stable: U.S. tariff policy and stablecoin regulation have not yet directly affected ETH, and market volatility is driven mainly by internal structural factors.
Current short-term volatility risks to watch include: changes in derivatives fund flows, the risk of large liquidations, the possibility that the hodler positioning structure may shift, and technical or liquidity pressure brought by network growth (climbing). It is recommended to focus on monitoring derivatives net inflows, on-chain capital movement, active address and fee metrics, and to stay alert for sudden events that could trigger a reversal in market sentiment.
