Bank of China leads the assistance for Slovenia in issuing Panda Bonds

China Securities Journal China Securities Network, reported (Reporter Yan Lioumeng): Recently, as the lead managing underwriter and lead bookrunner, Bank of China assisted the Republic of Slovenia (hereinafter “Slovenia”) in issuing 4.0 billion yuan three-year Panda Bonds in the China interbank market.

It is understood that this is Slovenia’s first appearance in the Panda Bond market, and it has set the record for the largest initial issuance amount for sovereign Panda Bonds. Bank of China said that the successful launch of this sovereign Panda Bond has achieved a new breakthrough in renminbi financing for sovereign entities in the Central and Eastern Europe region, which will help promote the expansion and quality improvement of the Panda Bond market, and attract more international issuers to participate in ongoing, normalized financing within the domestic market.
