The State Administration for Market Regulation deploys safety production work for the Qingming Festival holiday and the near future.

On April 3, the Safety Production Committee under the State Administration for Market Regulation organized a special meeting to analyze and assess the current safety production situation and to deploy efforts to do a good job in safety production work during the Qingming Festival holiday and in the market regulation sector in the near term. The meeting stressed that we must focus on key areas and strengthen responsibility, and make every effort to ensure safety production work during the Qingming and “May 1” holidays and in the market regulation sector in the near term. We must closely monitor the safety of special equipment, and focus on tourism-related special equipment such as passenger cable cars, large-scale amusement facilities, non-road tourism and sightseeing vehicles, and elevators in public venues, to ensure stable and safe operation of the equipment. We must strictly enforce industrial product quality and safety; taking into account seasonal and holiday consumption characteristics, we should focus on key products, key areas, and key business formats, strengthen supervision of online-sold products, prevent substandard products from entering the market, and uphold the bottom line of safeguarding the public’s consumption safety. We must strengthen duty roster coverage and standby preparedness as well as emergency response and on-the-spot incident handling; strictly implement duty and shift management and emergency management systems, improve rapid response and coordinated handling capabilities, and strive to create a safe and reassuring consumption environment, effectively safeguarding overall social stability.
