Shanghai's weekly second-hand home transactions hit the highest level since 2021, reaching a market peak.

On March 22, data from the Shanghai online real estate market showed that from March 9 to March 15, 7,233 second-hand homes were sold, a week-on-week increase of 27%, setting the highest weekly sales record since 2021. The activity level in the secondary market has reached the peak levels of the market. As of March 18, a total of approximately 16,700 second-hand homes were sold in Shanghai in March, with an average daily sale of over 920 units. According to data from the Shanghai Lianjia Research Institute, the transaction volume of second-hand homes in Shanghai has increased by 15% year-on-year, with high transaction activity concentrated in core urban areas such as Huangpu, Changning, and Xuhui, as well as regions like Zhuqiao, Wanxiang, and Xinchang within the radiation range of the remote suburban Lingang New City.
