Tesla’s official Optimus account published a new video on the social media platform X, revealing the Optimus development environment and showcasing details such as the reduction gearbox and dexterous hands. Tesla Optimus said that this will be the first time Optimus will completely change the economic landscape of the workforce and the manufacturing industry. Earlier, Musk said at the “Abundance Summit” tech conference that Optimus3 is expected to begin production this summer and to achieve large-scale mass production in 2027. He said the robot is the most advanced humanoid robot in the world.

In the video, the lead designer of the Optimus dexterous hand, the R&D team, said, “We’ve repeatedly designed and prepared to move Optimus3 into mass production. The product is gradually getting closer to human functional capabilities—even its appearance won’t look like a robot.”
