The Hang Seng Index Company has optimized the thematic requirements for the Hang Seng Tech Index, clarifying that constituent stocks must be highly related to any one of the six major technology themes, and has added technology sub-themes to enhance transparency. People’s Finance Network March 26, the Hang Seng Indexes Company released a disclosure update for optimizing the thematic requirements for the Hang Seng Tech Index. According to its index calculation methodology, constituent stocks that qualify for inclusion in the Hang Seng Tech Index must have their businesses highly related to any of the following six major technology themes: including the internet (including mobile communications); fintech; cloud computing; electronic commerce; digital or intelligent automation. To optimize the disclosure and transparency of the above technology theme requirements, the Hang Seng Tech Index index calculation methodology document has added relevant technology sub-themes under each technology theme to define more clearly the scope of each technology theme. The Hang Seng Tech Index index calculation methodology remains unchanged.
