BMO, in partnership with CME Group and Google Cloud, is launching a tokenized cash and deposit platform, becoming the first bank to offer CME tokenized cash solutions on Google Cloud's Universal Ledger. The platform will enable BMO's institutional clients to convert US dollars into tokenized instruments for 24/7 real-time margin, collateral, and settlement operations. The platform is scheduled to go live in the second half of 2026 and is currently awaiting regulatory approval.
