US MBA Mortgage Applications Index Declined 10.9% Last Week
As of the week ending March 13, the MBA mortgage application index decreased by 10.9%, following a 3.2% increase the previous week.
This is the first weekly decline in mortgage applications since February 6.
The purchase mortgage application index rose by 0.9%, after a 7.8% increase the previous week.
Refinance applications fell by 18.5%, following a 0.5% increase the previous week.
The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate was 6.30%, up from 6.19% the previous week.
