World Baseball Classic (WBC) Japan team member Shohei Ohtani’s jersey worn during the March 6 game against Taiwan was sold on the Major League Baseball auction platform in the United States on Sunday (22nd) for approximately $1,500,010 (about HKD 11.7 million).

This is the highest price ever paid for Shohei Ohtani’s team jersey. The previous record was for a signed jersey worn during a 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers game, which sold for $249,999 (about HKD 1.95 million). The jersey worn in the last WBC sold for $126,110 (about HKD 983,600).
