Itochu Corporation Makes Additional Investment in South Africa's Platreef Mine

Itochu Corporation announced on March 23 additional investment in ITC Platinum Development (IPTD). IPTD is a Japanese consortium jointly established by Itochu, Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security, and others. Itochu Corporation and IPTD collectively hold a 10% stake in Platreef Mine located on the northern limb of the Bushveld Complex in South Africa, which is one of the world's largest platinum group metals projects under construction.

Itochu Corporation announced on March 23rd that it will make an additional investment in ITC Platinum Development (IPTD). IPTD is a Japanese consortium jointly established by Itochu, the Japan Metal and Energy Security Agency, and others. Itochu and IPTD together hold a 10% stake in the Prattrive Mine located on the northern flank of the Bushveld Igneous Complex in South Africa. This mine is one of the largest currently under construction for precious metals worldwide.
