Two years ago, ARB was the darling of KOLs. Scroll anywhere and it was all "position ARB, the future leader of Ethereum Layer 2" and "miss the boat now, regret it later." The talking points were endless, like they just stopped short of saying buying it would make you financially free. In that atmosphere, who could resist joining in?
I followed along too. And what happened? Never saw financial freedom, but I witnessed a clear pattern firsthand — every major unlock, guaranteed crash.
Rally before the unlock to lure people in; crash after the unlock to take their positions. Then after a while, some ecosystem collaboration or new game launch comes along, pump it a bit more, unlock again, crash again. Two years of this, a dull knife cutting meat, one cut after another, not too much, not too little, but enough to drive you crazy.
You say it has no momentum, then it rallies a bit to give you hope. You say it's moving, then you look at the monthly chart and it's still sitting at the bottom. You want to exit but the losses are too big to take; you want to add but you're terrified next month's unlock will crater it again. This limbo state is the most torturous.
There's another significant unlock coming in April. Honestly, no matter how much it pumps right now, the moment I think about that, my heart sinks. It's not that I'm bearish on the project itself — it's that the token model is fundamentally rigged against retail traders.
Is it worthless? Not really. The ecosystem is actually doing work, the team is still pushing forward. But value is value, price is price. When facing unlocks, no narrative matters.
I'm not telling people to buy or sell anymore. I just want to say: stop viewing ARB as some shortcut to financial freedom. After two years on this path, the ones who got farthest are just the KOLs' mouths and the shrinking balances in retail traders' accounts.
If you really want in, at least wait until April's unlock settles before looking. Don't rush in before the unlock just to be fuel for others.
As for me, I'm traumatized by these dull cuts. I'd rather watch it pump than believe "this time is different" ever again. $ARB #加密市场回涨
