Question: What role does Trump’s son-in-law Kushner play in the US-Iran dialogue?

Xinhua News Agency, Washington, March 23 — According to U.S. media reports, U.S. President Trump said on the 23rd that the United States has had “robust” talks with Iran and has reached key points of an agreement.

Trump stated that the U.S. has engaged in dialogue with Iran’s leadership, but not with Iran’s Supreme Leader. The talks were conducted by U.S. Special Envoy Witkov and his son-in-law Kushner with Iranian representatives.

Trump said that the US and Iran might have a phone call on the 23rd. If an agreement is reached, it would be a “great start” for Iran and the entire region.

In response to Iran’s denial of talks with the U.S., Trump said that the U.S. has destroyed a large amount of Iran’s infrastructure, making it difficult for Iran to access information.

He also mentioned that he just spoke with Israel. Israel is very satisfied with the current situation. (End)
