The Hang Seng Index opened 377 points higher at 24,759, then fluctuated upward, rebounding 446 points to 24,828. Turnover was HKD 149.59 billion, with the Tech Index up 1.4% at 4,779 points. AIA (01299) rose nearly 6%, HSBC (00005) up over 2%, Xiaomi (01810) gained over 1% before earnings, Zijin (02899) up over 5%, BYD (01211) up 4%, Geely (00175) nearly 3% higher, CATL (03750) rose nearly 3%, while CNOOC (00883) fell over 3%.
