Understanding Exchange Units: How Much is 1T Really?
When operating on cryptocurrency exchanges, you often see these units of measurement: 1K, 1M, 1E, 1B, 1T. Especially when dealing with large sums of money, understanding what 1T equals is particularly important.
Common Units of Measurement on Exchanges:
1K (thousand) = 1,000
1M (million) = 1,000,000
1E (hundred million) = 100,000,000
1B (billion) = 1,000,000,000
1T (trillion) = 1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion)
Why Should You Know These Units?
When viewing market cap, trading volume, or fund size on an exchange, the system automatically simplifies the display using these units to avoid overly long numbers. For example, if a coin’s market cap shows as “5T,” it actually means a scale of 50 billion RMB. Knowing these conversions helps you understand market data more quickly and make more accurate trading decisions.
Remember: each unit increases by a factor of 1,000, with 1K to 1T increasing sequentially.
