Apple COO Sabih Khan visits Xinwangda’s iPhone battery production line

Xinwangda is a leading global provider of lithium-ion battery solutions. Since partnering with Apple in 2006, it has continuously supplied high-performance batteries for multiple product lines. To meet Apple’s product iteration demands and strict quality standards, the company’s production lines have undergone four upgrades. Currently, they have fully deployed highly flexible, high-precision magnetic levitation production lines, covering 100% of the iPhone battery projects.

Additionally, Xinwangda leverages digital twin technology to enable efficient production line operation. By real-time data collection from equipment and building digital models, engineers can perform remote diagnostics and real-time debugging using Apple Vision Pro. The company has also achieved Level 4 certification in China’s “Smart Manufacturing Maturity Model” (CMMM) from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, reaching a leading level domestically in smart manufacturing capabilities.

Wang Wei stated during the exchange that Apple, as a top global technology company, has very strict supplier selection criteria. They focus not only on product quality and technology but also on smart manufacturing, supply chain management, and sustainable development. This pursuit of excellence aligns closely with Xinwangda’s philosophy of “dedicating ourselves to making every battery well.”

It is understood that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the partnership between the two companies. Over these two decades, Xinwangda’s rapid development is a result of staying true to its original mission and focusing on core business, as well as the trust and opportunities provided by Apple to Chinese manufacturing enterprises. Xinwangda hopes that its growth can drive the overall upgrade of China’s supply chain industry and, together with top global companies like Apple, promote technological progress and sustainable social development.
