People’s Financial News, March 23 — On March 23, the Ministry of Emergency Management held a Party Committee meeting and a departmental executive meeting. The meetings emphasized the importance of foresight, in-depth analysis of current external shocks and associated safety risks, and continued adherence to a strict approach. They called for safety responsibilities and measures to be implemented at every level, from top to bottom, to firmly prevent a rebound of accidents. The meetings also stressed strengthening the supervision and tracking of typical accidents. Relevant departments are urged to quickly investigate the causes of recent typical accidents, hold accountable according to laws and regulations, and conduct thorough inspections and rectifications of similar risks and hazards. They also called for serious and thorough inspections, including both overt and covert investigations. High-quality implementation of the first quarter’s safety production inspections and patrols by central authorities should focus on industries and regions with frequent accidents, identify prominent issues, promptly expose typical accident hazards, and encourage local authorities to wake up and take action. Stricter measures should be taken to resolutely prevent accidents.
