# Understanding Exchange Units: How Much Are 1K, 1M, 1E, 1B, and 1T Really Worth?

On cryptocurrency exchanges, you frequently see various magical letter abbreviations. What's 1K worth, what does 1M represent, and what does 1E mean? Don't worry—these are actually counting units the exchange invented for convenience in expressing large numbers. Once you master this system, you won't be confused no matter how large the numbers get.

First, the most common one is 1K, which represents 1,000, or one thousand. Moving up from there, 1M equals 1 million, which is a million-level figure. Going higher still, 1E is 100 million, 1B is 1 billion, and finally the big player—1T is 1 trillion.

Mastering this counting system is actually quite simple: K is thousands, M is millions, E is hundred millions, B is billions, and T is trillions. Next time you see these units on an exchange, you'll immediately know the specific amount. For example, if you see 5K in some data, you know it's 5,000; if you see 2M, that's 2 million. This makes trading much clearer.
