Peter Thiel Leads $2 Billion Investment in AI-Powered Cattle Collars.. What Are the Features of This Technology?

Halter, a startup specializing in smart cattle collars powered by artificial intelligence, is in discussions to raise a new funding round that could more than double its valuation to over $2 billion, according to a Bloomberg report citing informed sources.

Founders Fund, the venture capital firm of billionaire Peter Thiel, is expected to lead this round, with the indication that negotiations are still ongoing and details may change.

📍What are the features of these collars?
Halter collars work by creating a virtual fence for cattle, allowing farmers to track animal locations and health indicators through a mobile app, in addition to directing cattle using vibrations and audio signals from the collars. All collars are powered by solar energy to facilitate remote pasture management.

The size of the funding has not yet been determined, due to strong investor interest that has made the round oversubscribed.
