Avatr Taishan X8 Makes Debut: Debuts Huawei's Latest Generation HarmonyOS Cockpit, Equipped with Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS with Four LiDARs
Sina Tech News, March 19 — Lantu Auto officially listed and began trading on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, becoming the “First High-End New Energy Vehicle Stock of Central State-Owned Enterprises.” On the same day, Lantu’s debut strategic model, the Taisan X8, was unveiled. With a new positioning as a “courtyard-level large five-seat SUV,” it enters the high-end 8 Series SUV market.
The demand for high-end family vehicles in China is undergoing a qualitative upgrade, with large space, high intelligence, and long range becoming the core standards in the high-end SUV market. The Taisan X8, positioned as a “courtyard-level large five-seat SUV,” incorporates the core concept of “creating a mobile comfortable courtyard for the whole family” into all aspects of product design, responding to the travel expectations of modern families.
The Taisan X8 measures 5200mm × 2025mm × 1814mm in length, width, and height, making it the largest-sized five-seat SUV in China. It features the largest 6.1㎡ cabin space in its class, capable of accommodating five passengers plus 11 pieces of luggage, with 48 carefully designed storage compartments. It is the only five-seat SUV in its class with rear seats equipped with dual zero-gravity seats.
The Taisan X8 debuts Huawei’s latest generation Harmony OS cockpit and is the first in the 8 Series SUV to feature the four-laser Qian Kun intelligent driving ADS. It will be available in PHEV and EV versions, with the PHEV equipped with a 65kWh battery pack and the EV version featuring a large 120kWh battery pack, the largest in its class.
Lantu Auto states that future plans will take Hong Kong stock listing as a new starting point. Backed by central enterprise heritage and global capital support, with the Taisan X8 as a pioneer, the brand will deeply integrate Eastern aesthetic design with warm technology product concepts, steadily advancing its global brand layout.
