Due to ongoing Israeli attacks, the people of Lebanon are forced to leave their homes and struggle to survive in temporary tents and vehicles. On March 15, heavy rain fell on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The rain soaked some of the makeshift tents built by displaced persons, and ongoing airstrikes have left many homeless. Some displaced people said that even if their tents are soaked by rain, they have nowhere else to go and can only continue to seek shelter under trees or in tents. The latest data released by Lebanon’s Disaster Risk Management Department of the Ministerial Council on the 15th shows that since the escalation of the Israel-Lebanon conflict on the 2nd, Israeli attacks have caused over 830,000 Lebanese to be displaced. Currently, more than 130,000 people have sought refuge in Lebanon’s 620 operational shelters nationwide. (CCTV News)
