China Petrochemical Corporation: 2025 Revenue of 2.78 Trillion Yuan, Down 9.5% Year-over-Year
DoNews March 22 News: China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) announced today that in 2025, the company’s operating revenue reached 2.7836 trillion RMB, a decrease of 9.5% year-on-year. Operating profit was 48.6 billion RMB, down 31.2% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was 31.809 billion RMB, a decline of 36.8% year-on-year.
The announcement states that in 2025, international crude oil prices fluctuated downward, new energy sources increased their substitution, and chemical production capacity continued to be released. The company focused on quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, actively expanded markets and sales, dynamically optimized production and operation arrangements, strictly controlled costs and expenses, and took multiple measures to respond to adverse market impacts.
In 2025, the company’s main business revenue was 2.7265 trillion RMB, a decrease of 9.6% year-on-year. This was mainly due to declines in the prices of petroleum and petrochemical products and the sales volume of refined oil and other products.
Most of the crude oil and a small amount of natural gas produced by Sinopec are used for refining, chemical, and vehicle natural gas sales within the company, with the remaining exported to other customers. In 2025, revenue from external sales of crude oil, natural gas, and other upstream products was 157.9 billion RMB (accounting for 5.7% of the company’s total revenue), a decrease of 10.2% year-on-year. This was mainly due to falling crude oil prices and reduced export sales.
