UBS raised its average oil price forecast:
$86 in 2026
$80 in 2027
The "average forecast" does not rule out strong price fluctuations within a year
Goldman: Brent could break its 2008 all-time high of $147, and oil prices could remain high throughout 2027 if the Hormuz issue is not resolved soon
The Wall Street Journal reported on March 20 that Saudi Arabia expects oil prices to jump to $180 per barrel and higher in the coming weeks if supply disruptions persist until the end of April
Wood Mackenzie believes that a price of $200 per barrel is quite achievable in 2026 if Hormuz remains blocked
Citi expects oil to hit $200 if the conflict continues tighten up
