Amman, Mar. 20 (Petra)-- The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs on Friday strongly condemned an Israeli attack targeting military infrastructure in southern Syria, describing it as a “flagrant violation” of Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law.
The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Fu’ad Al-Majali, expressed Jordan’s firm rejection and denunciation of the strike, stressing the need to halt all Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.
He said such actions constitute a breach of the UN Charter and Israel’s obligations under the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Al-Majali reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Syria, underscoring its support for the country’s security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
He also called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by pressuring Israel to end its “illegal and provocative” attacks on Syria, withdraw from occupied Syrian territories, and comply with international law and relevant international resolutions.
