After a Leakage Incident, Japan's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant Unit 6 Resumes Power Generation

Reporters learned on the 22nd that Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) stated that the damaged components related to Unit 6 at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, have been replaced, and power generation and transmission were restored on the same day after a leak caused the unit to stop generating and transmitting electricity. Previously, on March 12, TEPCO reported that during the trial operation of Unit 6 at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant, an alarm was triggered in the afternoon, indicating a small leak in the generator.
