Operator Financial News

As March 15 approaches, Operator Financial News has compiled issues and phenomena related to consumer rights violations within the brokerage industry from official authoritative department reports. Shanxi Securities is among those listed.

In a report released by the National Cybersecurity Incident Response Center in mid-April last year, Shanxi Securities’ “Huitong Qifu - Shanxi Securities” (version 7.7.4.1, available in the Vivo App Store) was named.

It was reported that it had violations such as “failing to provide effective correction, deletion of personal information, and account cancellation functions; although these functions were provided, responses to user requests were not timely, and manual processing was required, with verification and handling not completed within promised timeframes,” involving illegal collection and use of personal information.

The National Cybersecurity Incident Response Center is an official microblog that issues authoritative cybersecurity alerts and disseminates knowledge and skills for cybersecurity prevention. Last year, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and after testing by the National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center, it reported numerous platforms and apps involved in illegal collection and use of personal information.

“Huitong Qifu - Shanxi Securities” is an official mobile app independently developed and operated by Shanxi Securities, one of its digital wealth management products. Shanxi Securities places great importance on its digital and information development, and has established a technology subsidiary, Shan Zheng Technology, as a pioneer in the industry.

Currently, the company’s Chief Information Officer is Sun Jiafeng, an executive responsible for related business operations. Born in April 1978, Sun Jiafeng has worked at Foxconn Technology, Hutchison Information Technology, Shangyang Technology, Shanghai QiXiang Changda, Microsoft Asia Engineering Institute, Beijing Dajie Zhiyuan, and General Electric Healthcare (China). He began working in the securities industry in 2015.

Prior to that, Sun Jiafeng worked at Founder Securities and Hengtai Securities. He served as Director and General Manager of the Internet Finance Research and Engineering Institute at Founder Securities and as Chief Information Officer at Hengtai Securities. In July 2023, he joined Shanxi Securities.

Financial technology has always been one of Shanxi Securities’ core competitive advantages. The software named in this report has been rectified under Sun Jiafeng’s leadership and is still operational.
