Nearly 110,000 liquidations.

On March 22, the cryptocurrency market experienced a broad decline. As of press time, Bitcoin dropped over 3%, Ethereum fell nearly 4%. Additionally, HYPE declined nearly 5%, while SOL, XRP, DOGE, and others dropped over 3%.

According to CoinGlass data, in the past 24 hours, nearly 110,000 traders were liquidated, with a total liquidation amount of $343 million.

On the news front, Iranian state broadcaster IRIB and other media reported on the 22nd that the Iranian armed forces announced a shift from defensive to offensive strategies, with corresponding adjustments to battlefield tactics.

The report quoted Abdolahi, commander of the Central Headquarters of Iran’s Armed Forces, saying that Iran is leveraging the capabilities of young scientists to develop and produce advanced equipment and weapons, aiming to thoroughly disrupt enemy plans. The U.S. and Israel have already experienced some of these efforts on the battlefield, and Iran plans to create more “surprises” for them.

Notably, Axios News reported on the 21st, citing anonymous sources, that the Trump administration has begun planning for negotiations with Iran, conducting preliminary talks through third parties. Trump’s envoy Witkoff and son-in-law Kushner are involved.

Axios quoted an American official and two other insiders, stating that U.S. officials believe the conflict will continue for another two to three weeks. Meanwhile, Trump’s advisory team is seeking to end the conflict through diplomatic means.

The U.S. demands that any agreement must include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s handling of high-enriched uranium, and long-term commitments regarding Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missile projects, and support for regional proxies. Specific requirements include: Iran must not develop missile projects or engage in uranium enrichment for five years, cease operations at the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities, impose strict limits on centrifuge construction and use, reach arms control agreements with regional countries on missile range limits, and refrain from funding groups like Hamas, Houthi rebels, and Hezbollah.

The report states that the U.S. and Iran have not had direct contact recently, instead communicating through third parties such as Egypt and Qatar. Egypt and Qatar have informed Israel and the U.S. that Iran’s conditions include ensuring that hostilities do not reignite and that Iran receives compensation. U.S. officials say Trump considers Iran’s compensation demands “unfeasible.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian said on the 20th that U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran are illegal and unjustified acts of aggression, calling for global unity to oppose them. Several countries have begun pushing for a ceasefire, but Iran is only considering a comprehensive end to the war. Iran does not accept a temporary ceasefire but demands a complete cessation of hostilities, including guarantees that Iran will no longer be attacked and compensation for damages suffered.

Abdollahian also stated he does not believe the U.S. is prepared for negotiations.
