Spring breezes warm in March, and it’s the right time for volunteering. On the occasion of the 63rd “Learn from Lei Feng Day” and the 25th “Chinese Youth Volunteer Service Day,” China Merchants Bank Hohhot Branch Youth League Committee has fully launched the “Youth Shine Bright, Together for Good” Youth Volunteer Service Month. This initiative deeply integrates financial education with volunteer service, demonstrating the stories of Lei Feng in the new era through practical actions and showcasing the responsibility and commitment of CMB youth.

The first stop of the event took place at Hohhot Maoye Moer City, where young volunteers from China Merchants Bank Hohhot Branch and the Hohhot Credit Card Center engaged with young consumers. They innovatively created an interactive experience called “Financial Safety Escape Room.” The setup included two main challenge stations: “Fake Investment Traps” and “Personal Information Leakage.” Participants had to identify risks and solve puzzles to pass the levels, enhancing their awareness of financial risks through fun challenges. Meanwhile, volunteers distributed financial knowledge materials at the “CMB Financial Knowledge Volunteer Service Station,” using simple language to explain how to prevent online financial scams and invest rationally, aligning with the “3.15” consumer education campaign. To expand reach, the activity also launched an online quiz via QR code, combining party and youth league knowledge with financial literacy, encouraging active participation from citizens and achieving a dual effect of offline experience and online dissemination.

The second stop saw volunteers visiting the Princess Mansion Community, themed “Protect Your Wallet, Safeguard Your Happy Home.” They brought “Senior Financial Literacy Classes” to middle-aged and elderly residents. Addressing common scams such as “Pension Investment Frauds” and “Health Product Scams,” volunteers used real cases, scenario simulations, and interactive Q&A to teach seniors how to recognize high-interest temptations and emotional marketing tactics, effectively strengthening their financial safety defenses.

This Volunteer Service Month not only exemplifies the youthful spirit of China Merchants Bank in practicing Lei Feng’s spirit but also deeply reflects the bank’s original intention of “serving the people through finance.” It is reported that CMB Hohhot Branch will continue to focus on financial education, care for special groups, and green public welfare activities. Young volunteers will be organized to deliver professional services, spread warmth, and empower society with youthful energy, fostering a volunteer culture of “dedication, friendship, mutual aid, and progress” across the city.
