Global First Low-Temperature Low-Pressure Carbon Dioxide Polyether Production Unit with 80,000 Tons Annual Capacity Launched

On the morning of March 22, at the China Eastern, Central, and Western Regions Cooperation Demonstration Zone (Xuwei New Area) Lianyungang Petrochemical Industry Base, the world’s first industrial-scale low-temperature, low-pressure carbon dioxide polyether (Carnol) production facility with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons was officially put into operation. The project has a total investment of about 6 billion yuan, covers an area of approximately 659 acres, and is being built in phases. The planned total annual capacity of carbon dioxide polyether is 1.06 million tons. The 80,000-ton carbon dioxide polyether plant put into operation this time is a core achievement of Changhua Chemical, driven by cross-border technological collaboration and independent innovation.
