The Era Opens a New Window, Qijing Targets the Creation of a Travel Intelligence Agent
On March 17, GAC Group and Huawei QianKun jointly launched the high-end intelligent new energy vehicle brand Qijing (AISTALAND) for the first time globally. Its first model, the intelligent hunting station wagon Qijing GT7, was unveiled simultaneously and is now available for blind pre-order.
The English name AISTALAND, meaning “AI Start New Land,” suggests that the Qijing brand plans to deeply integrate GAC Group’s and Huawei QianKun’s resources to redefine automobiles with AI.
Redefining the Smart Mobility Agent in the AI Era
“Previously, cars were just transportation tools; the second generation became a mobile living space focused on comfort. But in the AI era, we want the Qijing brand to become a smart mobility agent,” said Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU. “Driving used to be done by people; now it’s assisted driving, and in the future, it will be fully autonomous. The cabin will become a digital companion for AI travel, and the vehicle will transform from a machine into an emotionally engaging partner. We aim to jointly develop Qijing into a redefined AI-era smart mobility agent and create a user-centric brand.”

What exactly constitutes an AI car? Jin Yuzhi believes that an AI-defined vehicle is a smart mobility agent. From a driving perspective, the future must shift from human-driven to truly autonomous driving, namely Level 4. In terms of the cabin, past vehicles were mainly functional tools emphasizing performance with fewer emotional attributes. To become a true travel companion, AI should know when to proactively serve and when not to. Additionally, AI technology can enhance safety—not just passive safety but active safety—through defensive AI driving and scenario-based pre-judgments.
This era opens a new window. Liu Jiaming, CEO of Qijing Automotive, said, “First, China’s intelligent technology, like Huawei QianKun, has already achieved a certain level of leadership. Second, China’s automotive industry has the capability to produce cars independently. The combination of these factors is why this era has arrived. If you’re not prepared, you’ll miss this opportunity. The third-generation vehicles in the AI era represent a thorough industry revolution.”
Jin Yuzhi stated, “We are well aware that our leading position in this field is not just about publicity. Our intelligent solutions must be well integrated with the vehicle to achieve the ultimate goal of becoming an intelligent agent. The concept of a travel intelligent agent redefines the GT7 in the AI smart era. Qijing’s future will be planned along this direction.”
What Are Qijing’s Advantages?
Liu Jiaming explained that as a new brand, Qijing benefits from GAC’s automotive heritage and Huawei QianKun’s advanced AI technology, giving us confidence to launch now. Additionally, Qijing’s distribution channels are carefully selected from top-tier nationwide dealerships, ensuring quality and stability in the 300,000 RMB market segment.

Huawei’s CMO of Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, Cheng Qiutao, said that the partnership stems from shared brand philosophies. Both Huawei QianKun and Qijing focus heavily on user experience and are committed to a user-centric approach. Huawei QianKun has always aimed to bring intelligence into vehicles, making travel safer and life better.
Cheng Qiutao added that future collaboration will involve deeper integration, establishing clear standards and rules to facilitate more effective cooperation and development. They are implementing Huawei’s IPD process closely, with teams working together. Through shared vision and adherence to processes, their collaboration continues to generate innovative synergy.
“In the process of cooperation, both sides are fully committed—everyone is all-in,” Jin Yuzhi said. “We are dedicated to meticulously developing the Qijing GT7, refining every detail to withstand extreme conditions. Our goal is to identify issues early and never leave hidden risks for users.”
Liu Jiaming admitted, “In working with Jin’s team, disagreements are inevitable. As someone from the automotive industry, and working with a team from the intelligent tech field, we view the future from different perspectives. This opposition and discussion actually help us see the same problem more clearly. That’s the kind of collaboration we advocate—clarifying ideas through debate and reaching consensus through constructive collision.”
“True passion isn’t just about building a car; it’s about seeing opportunities, hope, and the potential to create a whole new world,” Liu Jiaming said. (China Economic Net Reporter Chen Mengyu)
