China News Service, March 22 — During the China Development Forum 2026 Annual Conference on March 22, Zheng Yongnian, Dean of the School of Public Policy at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, stated in an interview that China’s development direction remains clearly defined. The 14th Five-Year Plan not only provides guidance but also specifies concrete measures and implementation pathways. Many large companies have recognized this and achieved steady growth in China.

He vividly pointed out, “Following China’s ‘Five-Year Plan’ will definitely lead to profit; going against it will definitely result in losses.”

Zheng Yongnian further emphasized that international capital should focus on aligning with the development plans of the host country to achieve mutual benefits. Chinese enterprises going abroad should follow the same logic, maintaining consistency with the development directions of partner countries in the process of globalization, so as to achieve steady and long-term growth.
