Abstract generation in progress

Affected by the Middle East situation, oil prices in Poland have surged significantly within just three weeks. The energy turmoil caused by the Middle East situation has not only increased people’s travel costs but also put the entire European economy at risk of high inflation. Since the U.S. and Israel launched military strikes against Iran, international oil prices have continued to rise, market panic has spread, and inflation expectations have been sharply driven up. Poland’s Central Statistical Office predicts that the inflation rate in March is likely to rise again due to increased energy costs. Piotr Mączyk, Vice Dean of the Warsaw School of Economics, pointed out that the impact of the Middle East situation goes far beyond oil prices, with price pressures propagating along supply chains from fuel to food, from transportation costs to industrial manufacturing. Many Polish citizens have expressed that they feel powerless in the face of this situation, can only cut expenses, and hope to endure this wave of shocks. (CCTV News)
