On March 19, Hu Huaping, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, along with General Manager Ma Zhengguo, led a team to Fangchenggang for research. They visited key port enterprises including Zhongsiluo New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Guangxi Huasheng New Materials Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgy Co., Ltd., to identify their needs and provide proactive services related to business development. At the same time, they discussed transportation organization and logistics distribution solutions in anticipation of the inland waterway canal opening within the year.

Hu Huaping and his team held discussions with each enterprise, focusing on source organization, logistics support, and multimodal transport via the Pinglu Canal, reaching consensus on further cooperation.

Hu Huaping and Ma Zhengguo emphasized that Fangchenggang is an important part of Beibu Gulf Port and a vital gateway for opening up to the southwest region. Local enterprises are key partners and core supporters of port development. They should establish regular communication mechanisms, strengthen stable cooperation foundations, deepen supply chain collaboration, and expand “dual empowerment” across the industry chain to promote green development. They should also enhance seamless port logistics, jointly create a trade distribution hub, and build an “open gateway” facing ASEAN, serving national strategies and setting a benchmark for port-industry linkage. Currently, the construction of the Pinglu Canal is accelerating, and the strategic opportunities of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor continue to emerge. Beibu Gulf Port Group will leverage its port hub advantages to provide high-quality, efficient, and convenient logistics services, accurately meet enterprise needs, explore new cargo sources in the southwest, continuously improve service quality, and strive to be a leader in the maritime economy.

The Group’s Assistant General Manager, relevant departments, and responsible enterprise leaders participated in the research.
