China News Service, March 22 — The 2026 Annual Conference of the China Development Forum opened in Beijing on March 22. During a break, Jeffrey Sachs, a professor at Columbia University and a renowned economist, told reporters from China News Service and China News that China’s development trend is very stable, with clear goals and appropriate measures. He said that China demonstrates a peaceful stance to the outside world, which injects crucial stability into the entire world, and this is extremely important.

He pointed out that China’s 14th Five-Year Plan has a clear explanation and a definite path from its inception to implementation. This not only provides a clear direction for China’s own development but also offers a predictable and stable environment for the global economy, which is highly commendable. (End)
