Mak Mei-juan said, “I am very pleased to participate in the China Resources Land Cross-Sea Run & Carnival 2026, cheering for all participants and promoting community-wide sports. China Resources Land has been rooted in Hong Kong for decades, working hand in hand with Hong Kong people and actively fulfilling corporate social responsibility. Through the ‘Run with Love’ community service platform, we practice our mission of nurturing communities and caring for people’s livelihoods, especially focusing on the needs of the elderly, children, and women in daily life, physical and mental health, growth, and development, striving to provide appropriate support.”

Cheung Wai, Chairman of China Resources Land, stated, “As a company rooted in Hong Kong for over 40 years, China Resources Land always upholds the philosophy of ‘Growing Together with Hong Kong.’ The inaugural ‘Cross-Sea Run’ is not only a sporting event but also a new attempt to combine healthy living, family fun, and charity. Seeing the smiling faces of over 3,000 participants today and their enthusiasm for charity is the greatest encouragement for us. We hope to encourage citizens to embrace outdoor activities, strengthen their bodies, and unite society’s love to work together for a warmer and more harmonious Hong Kong.”

The race route was carefully designed, passing through several iconic spots in Tsueng Kwan O. Runners started from Blue Pool Bay Garden, crossing the magnificent Tsueng Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge to enjoy 360-degree panoramic sea views; then along the scenic South Waterfront Promenade, participants challenged themselves while immersing in the blue sky and sea scenery. The finish line was at Brim28 Blue Pool Bay under China Resources Land, where they experienced the joy of completing a great feat and enjoyed the relaxed seaside atmosphere, making for an unforgettable “Chill” running journey.

The event featured multiple categories catering to different participants, including challenging 10K and 5K individual races, corporate teams testing teamwork, a fun 1K family run, and a 1K pet run. All runners received a stylish race kit, including a limited-edition sports T-shirt and pet bandana. The creatively designed cross-sea sand medal, inspired by the Tsueng Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge, features a gold outer ring embracing a silhouette of runners crossing the bridge; inside, the fine sand flows like waves, shimmering with the unique sparkle of Tsueng Kwan O’s waters. This playful and warm medal allows every runner to take home their own cross-sea memory to cherish.

Adorable pets raced on a dedicated track, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. About a hundred owners and their beloved pets wore matching limited-edition race scarves, running side by side to embody the “people and pets together” concept. As a co-organizer and venue supporter, Brim28 Blue Pool Bay has been actively promoting pet-friendly communities. After the race, a lively Easter seaside pet show was held, featuring amusingly dressed cats and dogs competing for attention, eliciting continuous laughter.

The joyful atmosphere extended to Tsueng Kwan O South Park Basketball Court, transforming into a large carnival. Local young bands and singers performed one after another, injecting endless vitality with captivating melodies; interactive game booths were abundant, where participants completed tasks to win prizes, filling the air with laughter. Surprising appearances by intelligent robots and robotic dogs became the stars of the event, their adorable actions making everyone smile. Families enjoyed a relaxing and fun weekend beyond sports.

The “China Resources Land Cross-Sea Run & Carnival 2026” was founded on giving back to society. After deducting necessary administrative costs, all proceeds were donated to the “Run with Love” charity project, supporting elderly home visits, community activities, resource distribution, and other elderly and community care initiatives, turning every bit of love into tangible positive impact. The event also received responses from multiple public welfare partners. “Run with Love” collaborated with China Light Power and other charities to sponsor community-based family participation, allowing citizens from diverse backgrounds to experience the joy of running and bring health and care into every corner of the community. Upholding the mission of “Nurturing Communities, Caring for Livelihoods,” “Run with Love” has been serving Hong Kong’s grassroots, focusing on the elderly, women, youth, and children, using community engagement and collective efforts to improve their quality of life and promote social harmony.
