On the afternoon of March 19, 2026, Wu Qing, Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, met with Hong Kong SAR Government Financial Secretary Paul Chan, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui, Hong Kong Monetary Authority Chief Executive Eddie Yue, Securities and Futures Commission Chairman Timothy Tong, and SFC Chief Executive Officer Lisa Ma. The parties exchanged views on recent domestic and international economic and financial developments, further deepening pragmatic cooperation in capital markets during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and supporting Hong Kong’s continued consolidation and enhancement of its status as an international financial center.
