Ask AI · Lin Yuhui: How does he describe the perseverance and pressure of seven years of portrait drawing?

Recently, through relentless efforts by the police, significant progress has been made in the “Zhang Weiping and others trafficking children case,” with suspect Xie Moumou (female) being captured. She is the key figure known as “Aunt Mei.” On March 21, expert Lin Yuhui, who participated in drawing the simulated portrait of “Aunt Mei,” told N Video reporters from Southern Metropolis that he received many calls that day asking about the case. “My phone was hot!” he said happily. “I knew sooner or later she would be caught!”

On March 21, expert Lin Yuhui, who helped draw the simulated portrait of “Aunt Mei,” told N Video reporters that from around 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., his phone never stopped ringing, with many media outlets and friends calling to inquire about the case.

He said that after hearing the news of “Aunt Mei” being caught, he felt excited and happy. “I knew sooner or later she would be caught!”

He recalled that he had been working on the “Aunt Mei” portrait for seven years. “Actually, I also felt pressure. Although I am not a frontline police officer, I’ve been asked about this many times over the years—by fans, friends, and parents.” Now that “Aunt Mei” has been caught, he feels relieved and is happy for the parents searching for their children. “These human traffickers are truly heinous.”

Since “Aunt Mei” has not yet been photographed, he believes that her real appearance should closely match the image. He recalled that in 2019, he was invited by Zengcheng police and entrusted by parent Shen Junliang to create the simulated portrait of “Aunt Mei.” When describing her to an elderly man living with “Aunt Mei,” he was very specific: “About 1.5 meters tall, somewhat chubby, triangular eyes, broad nostrils, big mouth, speaks Cantonese and Minnan. I analyzed her as a typical southern woman, around 60 years old.” Local residents also recognized the portrait, saying, “This is ‘Aunt Mei.’”

He looks forward to the police eventually revealing Aunt Mei’s true appearance.
