"Can you help me find a job? I'm a bit socially anxious," says a 21-year-old man from Sichuan seeking help. The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau provides a "step-by-step" job search tutorial. Official: The young man has already interviewed at three companies, and we will continue to follow up and provide assistance.
Recently, the Sichuan Public Voice website received a help request from a citizen, and the local Human Resources and Social Security Bureau responded with a “nanny-level” reply that moved many netizens to tears.

On March 13, a citizen posted a help request on Sichuan Public Voice, saying, “Can you help me find a job? I feel a bit depressed.” The citizen added that they wanted to find a general worker position locally in Cangxi County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, and usually didn’t dare to ask.

That day, the Cangxi County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (hereinafter referred to as “Cangxi HRSS Bureau”) responded by recommending three local reputable companies in Cangxi County with low entry barriers and stable environments, suitable for introverted job seekers. They also included thoughtful tips: “The workshop atmosphere is gentle, and there’s no need for much interpersonal communication”; “Primarily manual work, suitable for those who prefer quiet tasks.”
The Cangxi HRSS Bureau further replied, “We can submit your resume on your behalf, communicate with companies for you, understand job details, and confirm your suitability before taking you to visit the factory. We can also help schedule interviews, with our staff accompanying you throughout the process. You only need to confirm your willingness at key points.” “Before the interview, we will provide you with a script template, which you can read aloud, or you can choose to have our staff accompany you during the interview to help answer questions. After employment, if you encounter interpersonal difficulties, we can also help coordinate and support you.”

The bureau also offered advice for this “introverted” job seeker: “It’s recommended to prioritize positions like assembly line, packaging, or quality inspection, which mainly involve independent operation and require less team communication”; “Avoid roles that require frequent reception or coordination, such as sales or customer service, to reduce social pressure”; “Start with short-term trial work, as some companies support three-day trials, so you can get a feel for the environment without pressure if it’s not suitable.”
Finally, the Cangxi HRSS Bureau concluded, “We will contact you as soon as possible in the most gentle way to help you find a solid, suitable job, and take the first step out of the job search.”

Some netizens noticed this message and shared a screenshot on social media, saying, “The first time I saw an official reply that made me tear up.” In the comment section, many expressed similar feelings: “It warms my heart,” “This is true governance.”

Some netizens pointed out that the official reply had signs of AI, while others said, “AI can only give you text, but the behind-the-scenes work still needs staff to come up with ideas, coordinate, and push forward. How the text is generated doesn’t matter; what matters is that it truly serves the people.” “Whether AI or not, it feels good to read, and the positions are real.”

On March 17, a reporter from Xiaoxiang Morning Post saw on the Sichuan Public Voice website that this help request was resolved on March 13, with the requester giving a perfect score.

The reporter contacted the unit responsible for the reply, the Cangxi County Employment Service Center under the Cangxi HRSS Bureau. A person surnamed Yi said, “When we wrote this reply, we saw that the job seeker said he was a bit introverted and timid, even afraid to leave a phone number. To consider his mental state, we decided not to reply too officially, so we chose this new approach.” He admitted that AI was used to help draft the reply, which was then modified.
This person explained that the job seeker is a boy born in 2005. “We understand that he is quite introverted, has some intellectual disabilities, and although communication isn’t a big problem, his condition makes it hard for him to find work.” The companies recommended have low entry barriers and simple interviews: “General worker positions don’t require much talking, just hard work and perseverance. As long as he can endure and do the job, companies will hire him.” The official said that the boy has already gone to three companies for interviews and is waiting for responses. They will continue to follow up and provide assistance.

Later, the job seeker, Xiao Zhang, told Xiaoxiang Morning Post and Morning Video reporters that he indeed has some intellectual disabilities. He has never had a formal job at his age, only doing part-time work on his phone. He lives with his family in Cangxi County and wants to find a job outside this year, but has faced difficulties due to his intellectual issues. Feeling confused, he accidentally clicked into the website while browsing his phone, and decided to leave a message.
Xiao Zhang said he carefully read the reply from Cangxi HRSS Bureau and also contacted the Cangxi Employment Service Center by phone. “I felt a bit shy about having them accompany me to apply, but the next day I went for interviews with my family. I visited three companies, and the interviews went okay. One company said I could try working there first. I’m waiting for their reply.”
