# What is "Abandonment Ability" in Trading?

Many people think that experts are those who have captured the most opportunities. In reality, true experts are those who have given up the most opportunities they shouldn't have taken.

Look at many traders—they're constantly searching the charts for trades all day long, wanting to take this one here and not wanting to miss that one there.
The result is: they didn't catch the opportunities, but they made a bunch of mistakes.

True experts follow one core principle:
If you can't see it clearly, don't do it. If it's not perfect, don't do it. If it doesn't feel right, don't do it.

It sounds simple, but very few people actually do it.
Because giving up opportunities is harder than capturing them. But once you've been doing this long enough, you'll understand that what actually makes you money is never about how many trades you took,
but how many pitfalls you avoided.

There are opportunities in the market every day, but the ones that belong to you might only come a few times a week.

What you need to do is not desperately participate, but reserve yourself for those few moments when it's "worth taking action." When you learn to abandon, your trading truly begins to progress.
