Great Wall Fund Yang Jianhua: Bullish on sectors with recovering demand and limited supply
Recently, the A-share market has experienced significantly increased volatility, mainly influenced by geopolitical risks, market structural differentiation, and capital game-playing. Under the interplay of domestic and international factors, where is the market headed? Which investment directions have more stable logic? Let’s look at the latest analysis from Yang Jianhua, Deputy General Manager and Investment Director of Great Wall Fund.
Yang Jianhua stated that with the upcoming Two Sessions in March, discussions on the “14th Five-Year Plan” are worth关注, while the U.S. and Israel’s strikes on Iran and Iran’s retaliations have added greater uncertainty to geopolitical stability. The duration of conflicts and their resolution methods could decisively impact geopolitical patterns, international shipping, commodity prices, precious metals, and even bring greater uncertainty to U.S. midterm elections and global inflation levels, requiring close monitoring.
Looking ahead, Yang Jianhua believes that after March, domestic economic activities will gradually enter the peak production season, and demand recovery will further intensify the supply-demand tensions in some already tight commodities. Therefore, he remains optimistic about sectors benefiting from rising prosperity, increased demand, and limited supply, as price appreciation expectations may create investment opportunities. He also continues to favor investment opportunities in precious metals and resource products re-pricing driven by weakening U.S. dollar credit. Additionally, caution should be maintained regarding sectors at risk of AI substitution; related domestic demand sectors are still at low levels, and close attention should be paid to potential changes in fundamentals.
