【Intelligent Technology】Hesai Technology and Neolix Deepen Cooperation
On March 16, Hesai Technology announced a new strategic partnership with Neolix, a self-driving vehicle company, to provide automotive-grade LiDAR solutions for its all-new L4-level autonomous delivery vehicle (RoboVan) across the entire production line.
According to the agreement, Hesai will continue to be Neolix’s largest LiDAR supplier, supplying high-performance long-range LiDAR ATX and ultra-wide-angle blind-spot LiDAR FTX in bulk. The ATX has a detection range of up to 230 meters, featuring a self-developed waveform decoding engine that effectively filters over 99.9% of environmental noise, suitable for complex conditions such as rain, fog, and nighttime. The FTX offers a field of view of 180°×140°, weighs only 160 grams, and is used for precise recognition of pedestrians and obstacles in near-field blind spots. Both products are certified according to automotive standards such as ISO 26262, forming a comprehensive “long-range + near-range” perception system.
The partnership began in September 2021 and this announcement marks an upgrade to the existing collaboration. Neolix has delivered over 10,000 autonomous delivery vehicles domestically and operates the country’s first L4-level autonomous vehicle manufacturing plant, with business covering multiple cities. Its vehicles are mainly used for last-mile delivery in scenarios such as supermarkets, express delivery, and catering.
Hesai stated that the solution has been validated on several Neolix vehicle models and will support large-scale mass production and commercial operations in the future. As autonomous delivery enters a phase of large-scale deployment, LiDAR, as a core sensing hardware, is shifting from technical validation to mass application with controllable costs and stable reliability. This partnership further consolidates Hesai’s market position in the autonomous logistics field.
