Abstract generation in progress

On March 21, at Renmin University of China’s Dengyang Regional Country Forum “Global Experts,” Professor Jeffrey Sachs from Columbia University in the United States stated that China will continue to make progress over the next decade, but it will be very difficult for the United States. Sachs said that the world is clearly in a period of transformation, and the next ten years will be another phase of China’s development. China’s economic, social, and technological development remains positive and forward-looking. When discussing his own country, the United States, Sachs admitted that the U.S. will face a difficult decade. Both domestically and internationally, the U.S. has already fallen into trouble; the entire functioning of the American political system has issues, and domestic order and external environment are quite chaotic. He stated that for allied countries, the U.S. is not a reliable protector. The U.S. strategy of seeking global dominance will continue to cause conflicts, reflecting that in today’s multipolar world, the U.S. can no longer control everything. Internally, the entire political system in the U.S. has not played a good role and is unable to make long-term strategic decisions. (Beijing Daily)
